HYDROPOWER

Through its subsidiary, CHRILIAN Management, the Group provides a wide range of advisory services for investments in hydropower plants. Hydropower is one of the most attractive renewable energy sources as it is virtually emission-free and independent of primary energy inputs. Moreover, hydropower plants achieve the highest efficiency of all known methods of electricity generation, combining environmental sustainability with economic profitability. Unlike wind or solar power, water is generally available continuously and in constant quantities, making hydropower particularly well-suited to covering base-load electricity demand.

Since 2009, CHRILIAN has built up extensive expertise across the entire lifecycle of both new and existing power plants. In addition to the operational management of plants owned by the CHRILIAN Group, we have successfully executed numerous advisory mandates for external clients across Europe – particularly in Germany and Italy – in areas such as brokerage, due diligence, operations, and divestments of hydropower assets.
